Cynthia Mejia, Owner
Cynthia, along with her husband Dr. Mauricio Mejia, opened Avanti Skin Center of Denver in 2007. She manages Avanti, overseeing all of the day-to-day operations. With six years of experience in health care, Cynthia founded Avanti because she wanted “to improve people’s self-esteem, to help match their outside beauty with their inside beauty.”
Born and raised in Dallas, Cynthia received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is certified in Cutera (which is the manufacturer of our laser equipment) and the Image Skin Care line. She’s also received a Laser Safety Certification and is a member of the Aesthetics Procedures Institute.
Away from the office, Cynthia enjoys taking her five-year-old son Sebastian to the library, museums, and the botanical gardens. She also loves to go dancing with her husband.
Judy, Nurse Injector
With over 10 years of experience in injectables, Judy brings expertise and knowledge to our staff. She has worked as a staff RN at various Health One Hospitals as well as other medial spas. Her friendly and professional manner will make you feel at ease during your procedure.
Katherine, Nurse Injector
Katherine started with Avanti back in 2007 doing injections for our patients but took a break to have a daughter. She is currently our lead medical trainer and knows the business well. Before coming to Avanti, she worked as an RN in a variety of different settings including University of Colorado Hospital. In addition, Katherine has worked for prominent plastic surgeons in Los Angeles prior to moving to Denver. You can feel confident knowing that you are in good hands with Katherine!
Gina, Nurse Injector
Gina has specialized in aesthetic nursing for 8 years. Gina is certified in all types of laser treatments from laser hair removal to collagen stimulating treatments as well as IPL. Gina's expertise is in injections and she is a certidfied injector for Botox, Dysport, Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm and Radiesse. Gina will work various days of the week as well as be our weekend warrior. This will include the first and second Saturday of every month for your consultation and injection needs.
