Hockey Mom is the lucky winner of a Valentines Makeover!

DENVER, CO (February 14, 2010)

While many of our businesses are chipping in to help the efforts in Haiti this February, they also wanted to make this Valentines Day extra special for one local mom who won a makeover with Avanti Skin Center of Denver. “Avanti is donating 10 percent of our proceeds to the victims of Haiti for the month of February but we also wanted to do something right here at home too,” Cynthia Mejia owner of Avanti Skin Center of Denver. 47-year old Kathy Shelton is on the go day and night with her two boys who are aspiring NHL hockey players – between that and their fishing, camping and hunting trips this Colorado mom doesn’t get much spa time…doesn’t get any! So for the month of February she has been getting some luxury spa treatments from Avanti Skin Center of Denver (botox, lasers, fillers….taking a good 5 years off her face in just a matter of weeks!), teeth whitening from Dr. Weinstein, a beautiful new outfit from Anastasia Collection, she got a bothersome mole removed from Dr. Karen Johnson, and she’s getting her hair and makeup done by Tuana Hair Salon for her big reveal on the 14th at Avanti. Kathy has never been to a medical spa, never worn glamorous clothes, and certainly hasn’t ever won a makeover contest. Kathy’s friends and family will see her new look for the first time at 2pm at Avanti Skin Center of Denver. Video will be made available for news stations of the treatments she has received so far and video can be taken of Kathy getting ready at Tuana Hair Salon before her big reveal from 10am til noon. Tuana hair salon is located at 2500 West 15th Street. “We really want to support international causes like the victims in Haiti at Avanti, but we also want to support the local women here in Colorado and make this Valentines Day one that Kathy will never forget,” Cynthia Mejia. After her big reception Kathy and her husband will go to Second Home Kitchen and Bar for a romantic dinner for two – where Jim will get to appreciate in person all the amazing gifts Kathy has been given from local businesses!
