Avanti Skin Center of Denver
At Avanti Skin Center of Denver, we’re pleased to offer you the best
in laser hair removal and skin care treatment. We want you to feel comfortable
telling us what you want to change about your appearance…and we’ll
tell you how we can do it. We have state-of-the-art lasers, medical-grade
treatments, and a caring staff of skin care specialists who are registered
nurses, licensed aestheticians, and knowledgeable administrative assistants…yet

Helen Yeon M.D., Medical Director
Helen B. Yeon, M.D. has enjoyed practicing medicine and surgery in New
York for several years before moving to Colorado in 2004. Although
she loved her time living in Manhattan and Long Island, she was drawn to
the beauty of Colorado and the people she met here. She is Certified in Aesthetic
Medicine and Laser Treatments and teaches as faculty for the American Board
of Aesthetic Medicine in California in Advanced Aesthetic Courses. Prior
to obtaining her medical degree and receiving residency training in New York
at two Mt. Sinai School of Medicine -affiliated hospitals, Dr.
Yeon received a graduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
at Boston University. Her special interests are in skin science and
she is knowledgeable in the underlying mechanisms of skin rejuvenation.
"I
believe that the best way to serve our patients is to offer a very personalized
and non-biased set of options for the patients to achieve their skin care
goals. I like to take into account the patients' personal preferences
when it comes to treatment and help them to prioritize what treatments would
be best for them to reach those goals."

Cynthia Mejia, Office Manager, Owner
Cynthia,
along with her husband Dr. Mauricio Mejia, opened Avanti Skin Center of
Denver in 2007. She manages Avanti, overseeing all of the day-to-day operations.
With six years of experience in health care, Cynthia founded Avanti because
she wanted “to improve people’s
self-esteem, to help match their outside beauty with their inside beauty.”
Born and raised in Dallas, Cynthia received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is certified in Cutera (which is the manufacturer of our laser equipment) and the Image Skin Care line. She’s also received a Laser Safety Certification and is a member of the Aesthetics Procedures Institute.
Away from the office, Cynthia enjoys taking her four-year-old son Sebastian to the library, museums, and the botanical gardens. She also loves to go dancing with her husband.Memberships
